we stood in the tree
where lovers rendezvous
the rain fell through the darkness
as I sang my heart to you
and you held me to your body
and peacefully we knew
that this would be the moment
when one heart was made from two
then came the time for letting go
we quietly withdrew
and walked out of the forest
to begin our lives anew
